Real Estate Insider

Real Estate Insider is a one-half hour weekly radio program, which airs every Saturday at 7:30 PM on WOR Radio 710-AM in New York.  It provides up-to-the-minute news, information and commentary about real estate development in the New York tri-state area.  Real Estate Insider is also Pod-cast on www.reinsider.net.

Created by Sanford (Sandy) Fagin,
Real Estate Insider is produced by Steve Garrin.  Programs are either broadcast live or pre-recorded at his Voice Works/Video Active Productions studio.

Real Estate Insider was originally broadcast as a weekly news/talk radio program on WEVD, 1050 AM in New York, which Sandy Fagin wrote, produced and hosted from March 1998 until WEVD was sold in 1999.

Mr. Fagin, the host of
Real Estate Insider, has reprised the original show's successful format, interviewing movers and shakers in the industry about relevant real estate-related issues.  There is a weekly Office Market Report, a Residential Report sponsored by William B May and a Mortgage Minute.

Real Estate Insider's target audience are people within the industry, potential investors and those with the real estate bug.  Because of its subject matter and entertaining guests, the program is expected to appeal to audiences throughout the tri-state region.  Most topics will be of interest to both local and national audiences.  One program will compare proposals for development of the 13-acre site on a platform over the Hudson Rail Yards.  The discussion may include plans for residential development and an alternative plan offered by the Steven Newman Real Estate Institute at Baruch College, proposing the relocation of the Javits Center to the site as part of a new Sports & Convention Center.  This would open the sites now taken up by the Javits Center for residential development, which would bring in much needed funds for re-capitalizing the MTA.  This plan should also provide funds for affordable housing and education, and eliminate the need to relocate the Quill Bus Depot, which is required in the current Javits expansion plan.  This plan would allow the State to generate billions of dollars rather than the hundreds of millions now offered by proposed developers.  The flip-plan would reduce congestion, open the street grid and speed up west side redevelopment.  Stay tuned!!!
